The sun is coming behind the trees across the street at 6:46 a.m.
----------------------------------------------
Saturday, February 25, 2012 - I put a slideshow to the photos from yesterday's snowstorm on my Donna Blog. It seems as though the last time I did that, it worked better than this time. oh well.

At least, you'll be able to see the pretty, snow covered trees. It was absolutely gorgeous!!

Better go. I've been at this for quite a while. Need a break. bye for now, djb

This is our neighbor blowing snow in the driveway at 6:21 a.m. this morning. The wind is blowing from the east or maybe the northeast.
----------------------------------------------
Friday, February 24, 2012 - Haven't seen a snowplow yet today but I've seen a couple of cars drive by and they seemed to be moving along okay.

Usually, snow is easier to drive on for me than ICY roads. But it's the maniacs who drive too fast and don't consider unforeseen circumstances who cause trouble for everyone.

My plan is to: STAY OFF THE ROAD. Good luck to Bergy and Avis. Have a safe trip. ~djb

This was the view of the boys' candles this morning at 6:28 a.m. Where did all that white stuff come from?
-----------------------------------------------
Tuesday, February 21, 2012 - They said it was going to rain or snow last night into this morning but I didn't think it would be all snow because it's 33 degrees here at our house.

It's so pretty out there. Kind of looks like powdered sugar was sifted over the top of our world. After all, it is "Mardi Gras" today. That's Fat Tuesday in French.

So, you'd better enjoy your treats today because Ash Wednesday is tomorrow -- the beginning of Lent. As I recall, Easter is on April 8th (I'm trusting my memory on that one).

If you have sunny and warm weather where you are (think Florida), then you can laugh at us. hahaha bye, djb

Flowers for Andrew Robert on his 26th boofday.
---------------------------------------------
Wednesday, February 15, 2012 - Earlier today, I went into the grocery store to get some flowers for Andrew's birthday. They didn't have any balloons like I wanted to get so he also didn't get balloons (neither did Jarrett).

Plus, I always pick up the Nativity scene and the poinsettias when I put Andrew's flowers on the grave. Amazingly, some of the flowers have already poked through the earth.

And also, there was no one at the cemetery trying to convert me this year. Thank God for that!

Happy Boofday, Andrew. Love you and miss you, Your Mom

Aunt Diane and Andrew giving each other bunny ears!! I love it.
---------------------------------------------
Thursday, February 9, 2012 - I came across this photo that I knew I hadn't put on here before. It's so cute.

Not sure, but it could be....no, it wasn't that. Well, whenever it was, Diane was here in Illinois because she has that afghan that I made on her lap.

Andrew looks about 9 or 10, so that would be 1995. Yeah, I think Aunt Diane came to visit in 1996 so that would make him 11. hmmmm. Whatever. I still really like this picture. It makes me smile. byebye, djb

Here's the full moon setting in the west and there's SNOW in the picture but this was actually in December 2006 not February 2012.
---------------------------------------------
Tuesday, February 7. 2012 - FULL SNOW MOON.

February 7, 2012 - 4:54 p.m. EST -- Full Snow Moon. Usually the heaviest snowfalls occur during this month. Hunting becomes very difficult, and so to some tribes, this was the Full Hunger Moon.

I always like to warn everyone when there's a full moon. Mostly, so you can look outside and see the man in the moon. see ya later, djb

Here's the view of Andrew and Jarrett's candles on Thursday morning (2/2). What snow?
----------------------------------------------
Saturday, February 4, 2012 - I was going to put this picture on here earlier but I was busy doing other things.

Everyone is amazed at our mild winter. It has to be a record breaker in a good way. Except that the flora and fauna are now completely confused.

I keep seeing geese flying in formation going north. That's just not right. In a few weeks, I'm fairly certain that the robins will show up. What's fun is hearing them chirp before seeing them.

Maybe it'll be an early pool year? oh boy! see ya around, djb
