Amid the zero cold and deep snows of midwinter, the
wolf packs howled hungrily outside Indian villages.  It
was also known as the Old Moon or the Moon after
Yule.  In some tribes this was the Full Snow Moon;
most applied that name to the next moon.

Sunday, October 6, 2013 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BOB!!!  I really love this picture because the boys were older and we're all in it...which I didn't realize until after I got the photos back. Nowadays, I'd take 20 pictures on a digital camera.  But maybe that's why these older photos are so precious because they're so rare.  Happy Boofday to Bob.  see ya later, djb

Tuesday, August 6, 2013 - This picture cracks me up for so many reasons.  For one, I love the colorful tubes.  Also, the slide wasn't wobbly so I didn't have to stand there and hold it.  And it's fun to see that weeping willow tree when it was so HUGE.  It's since been pruned by Mother Nature and some tree guys.  Now it's much, much smaller.  we had joy, we had fun, we had sun, djb

Sunday, July 21, 2013 - We had such perfect weather yesterday.  It was the type of night we've always enjoyed eating outside at Rosita's.  So, I called Bergy and he and Avis met us there.  It was so ideal right until we were getting ready to leave and then some really interesting clouds moved in but we didn't get rained on.   I just remembered that I took pictures of those, too.  Okay.  more photos need to be found.  Plus, I took some pictures of corn for Grandpa.  see ya later or sooner, djb

Monday, July 15, 2013 - On Friday, I went into town and took along my camera so I could take pictures of the boys' trees.  It's kind of fun that you can see Andrew's tree in Jarrett's picture.  Those trees are doing so well.  They make me happy to see something alive in the cemetery.  see ya, djb

Sunday, June 23, 2013 - When I stopped by to add the patriotic decorations on the shepherd's hook, I was so surprised to see that the Stella d'oro lilies had started blooming.  It's hard to see the perennial geranium flowers because the sun was shining so brightly.  But, it looks very nice.  God bless Andrew.  God bless Jarrett.  love you guys, mom

Friday, June 14, 2013 - This flower pot full of the most gorgeous stargazers ever is about 3 and a half feet tall.  It is just spectacular.  I'm still waiting for the final bloom to open.  It's in the upper right part of the photo and looks whitish.  Yeah, I'll take a picture of it.  haha, djb

Monday, June 10, 2013 - This is just the beginning stage of this planter -- I just put them all together last week.  Once the sun comes out and shines, all those pretty flowers will grow so big.  Can't wait....for the sun.  Only 11 more days until SUMMER.  What's that?  yikes, djb

Friday, May 31, 2013 - This is a close-up of the pink columbine that lives in a space between the asphalt and the shed.  Every year it comes up and blooms.  It proves the saying that a determined flower will bloom.  Or does that saying say, "bloom where you're planted."  Except I didn't plant this flower, one of the seeds blew into a crevice and decided to grow there.  I love it.  later, djb
