IT'S FEBRUARY. IT'S COLD. WHAT'S NEW?

Monday, February 23, 2009 - This is the last week in February. I had such BIG plans for this month. It started out fairly strong and then on February 7th, I was struck down by either the flu or a nasty, unrepentant virus of undetermined origin. It was horrible, and it took forever and a day to finally feel less bad.

I'm trying to figure out how to navigate this website so I can easily update it since the other one (www.andrew-jarrett.com) is so huge and it often takes a long time to find things and update and maybe I make more work for myself than is actually necessary.

This morning, I spent some time going through a box of my "stuff." You really haven't lived until you've seen what I have in these various boxes. Many folks have likened it to an archeological dig. There are layers upon layers, etc., ad nauseum.....et al. haha

Let me try to put a picture in here. I've already uploaded a bunch and I can't find them anywhere. That's pretty darn funny. see ya later, djb

Happy Birthday to Mammy and George Washington

Sunday, Febru
ary 22, 2009 - Today is Andrew and Jarrett's great-grandmother's birthday. She was born in 1895, so if she were still living, she'd be 114 years old. When she turned 100, they had a special birthday party for her in Minnesota. We drove up there and stayed at a very nice hotel with glass elevators near the Mall of America. Of course, we had to go to the Mall of America to ride the rides at Camp Snoopy. The boys were ecstatic about being there. Since we were so close to the mall, we were able to get there fairly early before the teeming masses yearning to ride free (or at a discount) showed up. I still remember that Jarrett got splashed on one of the water rides and we stopped in a store and bought him dry clothes. That was a hoot. Right now, I'm going to publish this so that I can see if it actually still works. Oh yeah, and Happy Birthday to George - the Father of our Country. see ya later, djb
