This is a full moon setting in the west from a couple of years ago. We can't see the moon this morning because of the pending storm.

—Full Beaver Moon: At this point of the year, it's
time to set beaver traps before the swamps freeze to ensure a supply of warm
winter furs. Another interpretation suggests that the name Beaver Full Moon came
from the fact that the beavers are now active in their preparation for winter.
